Dementia Activity unexpected playing with bubble wrap - sorting lottery tickets - matching socks

I have been ordering items from Amazon. My dad helps me unpack them. He found a huge amount of bubble wrap. He started popping them and enjoyed every minute of it. It lasted for an hour. He enjoys popping and snapping the bubble wrap. This is a new activity for us. It's free!

I have purchased some scratch off lottery tickets as well as Powerball and pick three tickets from the New Jersey lottery machine. I brought them home and had them on the table. My dad saw them and started organizing them. He took the scratch off‘s and put them in one pile then he took the pick three and pick four and separated them. then he took the Powerball tickets and separated them. That’s when I realized that this might be something for my dad to do. I went up to my friend who owns the local lottery store. I asked her to save some old tickets and she was able to save several hundred for me a week. I bring them home and my dad sorts them and he loves sorting them out. He likes looking at the numbers people play and putting the pick three with the pick three in the pick four with the pick four. We might take these out maybe two or three times a day. Sometimes he’ll play with them or sort them for an hour and other times it might be only five minutes. But it’s something to do it’s something he enjoys and it doesn’t cost a lot of money. With my losing tickets I was able to log on to New Jersey lottery open a VIP account. You can enter your losing tickets and try to win prizes. That’s also something to do with my dad.

. He loves doing that we also get out the magnifying glass and he’ll look at that year the coin was printed and sort them by that.
